My Week in World of Warcraft: #2

First let me just say hello, “It’s Me” and I’m back again – I hope anyway. So obviously my move to a new host did not go as smoothly as I had hoped. Actually it was quite frustrating because it turned out that none of my sites could be migrated to the new host due to the files sizes. Out of aggravation I honestly just gave up. And while I finally have the blog back online you can see somethings are still not quite right – like none of the old images are loading.

#itsyourmove

OMG my last weekly report was in Sept 2017 at which time I was working on the Balance of Power questline. I’m happy to report I did finish it on eleven out of twelve characters during Legion but sadly that leaves my poor neglected Monk still waiting on the required mythics.

ATM I’ve got six max toons and almost all of which are above 350 now, the one whose not is my lonesome horde toon. I’m currently leveling both my pally (115) and warrior (113) toons.

I have not been doing LFR (ugh) but I have been tanking Uldir, yes I said tanking. I finally broke down and went bear for my guild. We’re just a casual bunch of raiders so as of last week we’ve still only downed 6/8 bosses. But I’m still hopeful that we will finish it before this new raid comes out at the end of the month.

This last week has found me working a bit more on setting up my TSM4 auction groups. I guess I’m hoping that by setting up my groups again I’ll find some crafted items that might be selling. I haven’t been flipping herbs/ore this xpac because I don’t have the gold to keep up on the buyouts. This expansion has been really REALLY sucky as far as gold making. #pleasegivemegoldblizzard

Other than that I haven’t really been playing much this week. It’s not that I’m on the I hate Blizzard bandwagon that’s been going on, especially on youtube, as of late. NO it’s more that some times WoW, BFA especially, is just overwhelming because like there’s too much to do and not enough hours in the day to do it all. And that starts feeling way to much like chores and so after a couple hours of just doing dailies it’s like UGH no more today.

AND if I’m being totally honest I’ve been feeling the draw to play The Sims 4 again. And that is why I pushed to get this blog back online. I’m hoping it will help keep me working towards my WoW goals by blogging about it.

TRANSMOGRIFICATION

I recently added the [ Finely-Tailored Green Holiday Hat ], the last one I needed, to my collections during the 2018 Winter Veil . This week I ran SoO on a couple plate dps for those blasted shoulders but Garrosh is pretty stingy with em. I also ran ToT and another week without my belt. But my hunter had a little luck in Arathi Highland and got [7th Legionnaire’s Longbow]. I don’t need much more but weapons from there.

Listed below are the PVE sets (on the appearance tab) that I still need to complete:

Heart of Fear – Why Why WHY Blizzard?!? They added a BOE belt to the LFR set [ Feralbark Belt ]. Because not only did they break my set but that damn thing ONLY drops from Island Expeditions and Good Luck with getting it.

Throne of Thunder – I’ve only needed the belt drop [Girdle of Night and Day] from the Twin Consorts for well over a year and no I don’t run it every week but I do run it a couples times a month.

These next few sets are all from Legion raids and atm they are just are not high on my TO DO list. I need both the heroic and mythic sets from Nighthold. I’ve yet to complete even one set out of Tomb of Sargeras, but I am only missing like one item for a couple of them. And I need all but the normal set from Antorus.

As you can see above I’ve completed one of the sets in Uldir but nothing else as far as BFA raid sets go. I’m currently showing 54/57 on the appearance tab but if you count them all (and I do) it’s really 69 PVE set’s and so far I have completed 51 of them.

ACHIEVEMENTS

At last report I was working on [ Now I Am the Master ] and I’m happy to say I completed that one awhile ago. Lately I’ve been focusing on war mode, Island Expedition, and pet battle related achievements.

Pet Battle Achieves – I’m missing one fight [Corrupted Blood of Argus] to complete the [Family Familiar] achieve. I’m way WAY behind on the [Family Brawler] achieve. I have everything from the first couple pet battle dungeons and as of yet I haven’t even started on the new one Gnomeregan. AND I’m slowly working on [Family Battler].

Up nearly 2K from my last report – I ended the week with 25,950 achievements points and our guild roster says 21,955 for my main, Starrefyre.

COLLECTIONS

I’m at 981 unique pets collected and with a little luck on these Island Expeditions that will hopefully get to 1k very soon. And if you don’t know collecting 1000 unique pets [ Master of Minions ] rewards the pet [ Hearthy ] and OMG he’s adorbs!

My toy collection 421/544 is coming along with my newest editions being: [ Toy Armor Set ], [ Greatfather Winter’s Hearthstone ], and the [Twiddle Twirler: Sentinel’s Glaive].

I’m working towards [ A Horde of Hoofbeats ] with my mount collection by farming Ulduar and TK weekly on several alts. Currently I’m at 380/400 my last mount drops we’re from Arathi Highlands [ Witherbark Direwing ], [Lil’ Donkey ], and [ Broken Highland Mustang ].

STILL ON MY TO DO LIST

  • Buy the new PVP profession patterns.
  • Do more mythics.

My Week in World of Warcraft

My Week in World of Warcraft

So it was TW Cataclysm this last week and of course once again I let the week get away from without TW on anyone. I’m never gonna finish collecting those mounts this way!

And dang if I didn’t also miss Pirates Day!! I wanted to have a pirate trivia nite with the guild. /cries

It’s BREWFEST … yah, no. There’s nothing new this year that’s pretty disappointing if I say so myself.

Balance of Power

My Shaman finished her Balance of Power this week.

Currently my Shaman, Warlock, Hunter, Priest, Mage, and Druid have completed the Balance of Power quest line for the weapon appearance.

  • Monk: Needs to quest in Azuna.
  • DH: Needs Emerald Nightmare.
  • Paladin & DK: Need to quest in Suramar.
  • Rogue & Warrior: Needs mythics.

Concordance

I’m still just a little short on having concordance on every character and every weapon.

TRANSMOGRIFICATION

These are the set I still need to complete: Heart of Fear, Siege of Orgimmar, and Tomb LFR sets. Hellfire Cutadel, Nighthold, and Tomb Normal sets. Heart of Fear, Throne of Thunder, Seige of Orgimmar, Nighthold, and Tomb Heroic/Mythic sets.

I’m currently showing 47/50 on the appearance tab but if you count them all (and I do) it’s really 58 PVE set’s and so far I have completed 41 of them.

ACHIEVEMENTS

I did a little more cleaning up on achievements that my main didn’t complete herself. And in doing so I learned I’ve got to go all the way back to doing Pandaria Tiller daily’s! Why?

Because I never got the young Nomi on my druid whose always been my main except during MoP in which case it was my Mage. So back to the grind of collecting Ironpaw Tokens so I can buy the [Cooking School Bell].

It looks like I’m going back to Stormwind for the daily cooking quest as well. At least that will be a short grind because I only need 4 recipes. LUCKY me, I got over there and had just enough Epicurean’s Awards to buy all four recipes I was missing.

I ended the week with 23,880 achievements points and the guild roster says 19,980 for Starrefyre.

COLLECTIONS

I’m now the best of friends Akule Riverhorn, one of the new Fisher Friends found around Broken Isles. And to prove it he graciously gave me access to the [Trawler Totem] and [Floating Totem] toys.

After running the Deadmines Pet Battle Dungeon this week I added [Tricorne] to my collection.

I finally picked up the toy [Legion Invasion Simulator] as well as the [Legionfall Tabard] from Broken Shore vendor after realizing I had over 75K Nethershards on my hunter.

STILL ON MY TODO LIST

  • Complete the class hall quest line for all toons. DONE!!
  • Complete the class mount quest for my Warrior and DK.
  • Complete all the Legion profession quests/dungeons.
  • Farm Underbelly Rares for the Rogue and Shaman hidden appearances. Farm Ursoc for my last hidden appearance for my Hunter. Farm TOV on my Warrior for that hidden appearance.
  • Finish the last four TWO Brawlers Guild ranks bosses for rank 8.
  • I STILL need to start working on the Chromie Scenario.

My Week in World of Warcraft

My Week in World of Warcraft

It was world quest bonus week in WoW this last week so I jumped on the chance to pick up 5K class hall resources. I did all 20 world quest on ten out of thirteen characters. So yaa I didn’t finish them all but I got the one’s who we’re the lowest on resources so I’m happy.

Blizzcon Tickets went on sale!! The goodie box and virtual ticket in-game goodies we’re announced!! IF you missed it, go watch the BlizzCon 2017 Pre-show Livestream Global Event video HERE.

Balance of Power

I had the worst luck this last week! It hasn’t taken more than two weeks to get all 20 nightshards since before they made changes to the drop rate back in like Patch 7.2 I think it was. My shaman went into Nighthold needing 10 nightshards and came out sill needing 2, not a single cluster the whole run!!

My death knight finished Emerald Nightmare and needs to quest in Suramar now. Speaking of Suramar, my rogue and warrior completed that this week and need to go through the SIX mythics before starting NH. AND My demon hunter completed the two starting mythics and is now ready for EN.

Currently my Warlock, Hunter, Priest, Mage, and Druid have completed the Balance of Power quest line for the weapon appearance.

  • Monk: Needs to quest in Azuna.
  • DH: Needs Emerald Nightmare.
  • Paladin & DK: Needs to quest in Suramar.
  • Rogue & Warrior: Needs mythics.
  • Shaman: Needs Nighthold.

Concordance

I made some real progress on concordance this week. I finished hitting concordance level 1 on SIX more characters on ALL weapons. OF course the jump in AP with Patch 7.3 is what had made this huge push successful because I’m still not farming AP.

TRANSMOGRIFICATION

I’ve been doing the keto diet these past few weeks and because of that I’ve had some nasty headaches so didn’t do much xmog farming this last week just a quick mythic HFC and BRF with the guildies. AND nope I didn’t finish a single set =(

ACHIEVEMENTS

OMG, I also didn’t do any achievement farming this last week! Shame shame on me …

COLLECTIONS

I spent a few hours on Argus and while questing I tagged a couple rares and got LUCKY! I was in Mac’Aree and like I always seem to aggro this rare Instructor Tarahna every time I get anywhere near that zone. We’ll this time it was worth it because she gave me the toy Yellow Conservatory Scroll

Maddened Chaosrunner

And just a few minutes later I tagged Wrangler Kravos and he gave me the Maddened Chaosrunner mount.

Barla and I spent like 3 HOURS working through the newest PUZZLE mount: Lucid Nightmare.

I feel like I just posted my week in WoW yesterday not like a week ago. I guess its true time does fly when your having fun!

There’s not any real reason to even talk about raiding this week because besides a few TOMB bosses for achievements I didn’t really raid.

Balance of Power

I did do Nighthold on my shaman for Balance of Power. And Emerald Nightmare on my Death Knight.

Currently my Warlock, Hunter, Priest, Mage, and Druid have completed the Balance of Power quest line for the weapon appearance.

  • Monk: Needs to quest in Azuna.
  • DH: Needs to do EoA & DHT mythics.
  • DK: Needs Emerald Nightmare.
  • Rogue, Warrior, & Paladin: Needs to quest in Suramar.
  • Shaman: Needs Nighthold.

Concordance

My druid’s feral weapon hit concordance this week making that all four weapons at 52 or more. I think several others are very very close to finishing their last weapon as well.

TRANSMOGRIFICATION

A few guildies went with me to LFR mode Siege of Orgrimmar and Throne Of Thunder this week, and I finally completed that ToT set.

We also ran Hellfire Citadel and I got NOTHING I needed, bummers!

ACHIEVEMENTS

I mentioned above that I went into tomb for some achieves this week. It was a raid in progress but I still managed to get two of the three we we’re after.

I also went back to Seige of Orgimmar and picked up the few achieves I was missing.

COLLECTIONS

I started working on this new achievement [Fisherfriend of the Isles] this week. While doing so I picked up a bunch of new toys.

ALL are fishing bobbers, how cool is that!! I also got 2 new pets while fishing as well [Trashy] & [Ghost Shark].

I finished one more class hall mount quest, the paladins [Glowing Reins of the Golden Charger]. Only TWO more left now!!

Go for my last hidden appearance for my Hunter from Ursoc. Do TOV on my Warrior for the hidden appearance.
  • Finish the last four TWO Brawlers Guild ranks bosses for rank 8.
  • I STILL need to start working on the Chromie Scenario.

My Week in World of Warcraft

It’s a new week, so what did you do in WOW!?!

What did I do, let’s see I did a very few xmog runs and even fewer mythics but only on my death knight. What didn’t I do, well once again I did not do a single mythic plus, or a battleground, nor did I do the weekly quest on anyone.

Dang AND I just realized, I forgot to run the pet battle dungeons!! I normally do them first thing Tuesday but I’ve noticed I tend to wander off afterwards since they kinda take awhile to do. By the end of the day, instead of having done any LFR or xmog runs those pet dungeons are sometimes all I’ve gotten done on a Tuesday. So this past week I didn’t do them … apparently at all UGH!!

Balance of Power

I finished Emerald Nightmare on my paladin so that’s now three characters that need to quest in Suramar (yuck). I got the death knight ready to start on Emerald Nightmare for essences and my shaman is still ready and waiting to go into Nighthold for nightshards.

Concordance

With the huge increase in AP Patch 7.3 brought us I’ve decided to focus more on concordance the next few weeks.

TRANSMOGRIFICATION

We we’re hijacked! I love the ability to be able to just right click on any party member and request to join the group but it does have its hazards. For example, while headed to heroic Throne Of Thunder I got a request that someone wanted to join our party. Now we’ve had mishaps once to often so we tend to prefer to just do our own thing when it comes to xmog farming, so I didn’t immediately accept.

But then Barla says it must be one of your friends so without checking first (or thinking about the fact that I’m not queued for anything) I accept knowing she’s prolly right since my friends list is kind of excessive. Of course it doesn’t take long to realize neither of us knows this person!

Ok so do we not invite (rude) or play nice, well of course WE play nice because WE are nice people. The new person tells me they could not get past council so I’m like ok not a problem. Only they didn’t exactly say they had just tried!!

So upon entering we’re immediately aware it’s an in-progress instance with 2/14 bosses dead. Seriously not cool, but being too nice I say whatever and we just accept the popup and move one. We go on and kill council only then did I realize were not even on heroic!! Now this is the kind of reason randomly inviting yourself to someones group is just plain RUDE!!

At the end of the week I had an ALT or maybe two complete a set but nadda for my main!

ACHIEVEMENTS

I finally finished those zones I didn’t do after the Cataclysm. But in doing so it made me realize I need to go back and do them again on the other armor classes .. so much xmog I don’t have!!

COLLECTIONS

Imagine my surprise when I got the holy Pally hidden appearance: Lost Edicts of the Watcher while out questing. WooOOooT!!

I picked up 4/5 of the new wild pets from both Krokuun & Antoran Wastes.

I finished the Monk class hall mount quest.

AN hour later, I finished another mount quest, only three left to go!!

The patch introduced a brand new Raiding with Leashes V: Cuteaclysm where fifteen new pets are scattered about five Cataclysm raids just waiting to be collected. I only ran it once this last week (dualboxing) but I was lucky enough to pick up 3 of these new pets.

  • Blackwing Descent (3 pets) 2/1
    • Discarded Experiment – Maloriak x1
    • Rattlejaw – Nefarian
    • Tinytron – Magmatron
  • Dragon Soul (3 pets) 2/0
    • Corrupted Blood – Spine of Deathwing
    • Faceless Mindlasher – Yorsahj
    • Unstable Tendril – Deathwing
  • Firelands (4 pets)  2/1
    • Blazehound – Shannox
    • Cinderweb Recluse – Beth’tilac
    • Infernal Pyreclaw – Majordomo Staghel
    • Surger – Baleroc x1
  • The Bastion of Twilight (3 pets) 2/0
    • Bound Stream – Elementium Monstrosity
    • Faceless Minion – Cho’gall
    • Twilight Clutch-Sister – Valiona
  • Throne of the Four Winds (2 pets) 2/1
    • Drafty – Nezir x1
    • Zephyrian Prince – Al’Akir

All together I added seven new pets to my collection this week. You can check out my pet collection here.

STILL ON MY TODO LIST

  • Complete the class hall quest line for all toons. DONE!!
  • Complete the class mount quest for my Warrior, Pally, and DK.
  • Complete all the Legion profession quests/dungeons.
  • Farm Underbelly Rares for the Rogue and Shaman hidden appearances.

Another week in WoW.

RAIDING

I still really have no interest in progression but I made a last minute decision to join Neall for normal TOMB this week. Truthfully I’ve been signed up to go all month and each Sunday I just end up canceling.

I watched this week as his group successfully completed TOMB achieves, and man I really wanted to go especially after seeing someone play with the [Micronax] pet! I’m assuming of course it’s part of the reward but IDK for sure because I couldn’t find the source for picking up this pet.

But I’m well aware that I’m short just a few more iLevel points in order to join the TOMB achieve group. So since my understanding is his group normally clears through Fallen Avatar I figured why not, maybe I’ll get lucky and get some much needed upgrades!

So everything started off well with boss after boss going down swiftly. An hour and a half in and we’re five bosses down. Many, no all, of these fights I personally hadn’t done on normal before so it was actually about time that I learned them… at least that’s what I’m telling myself anyway.

Everything continued smoothly until we got to Maiden. Wow, what a annoying fight!! Bombs! Fel! Light! Orbs! Yaa it’s all there!! It must’ve taken at least two tries before everyone got it straight that they had to change sides depending on whether they we’re effected with fel or light.

OK but then people kept blowing us up because they either we’re hitting orbs accidentally or on purpose. Needless to say she went down but only after at least a handful of wipes. About that time the mood got a little grumpy to the point Neall had to remind everyone to “calm down it’s just a video game”.

In the end we only got 7/9 bosses down but I got the tier gloves and legs thanks to others sharing there lootz!! It’s still not enough iLevel for his next Tomb achieve run on openraid but it’s closer than I was. Thank You!!

TRANSMOGRIFICATION

Another slow week for xmog I’m afraid. I finished the Druid Nighthold LFR set [Garb of the Astral Warden] but only because either my Rogue or Monk picked up the appearance!!

Trial of Style

The new micro holiday Trial of Style started Thursday. Like many others my hopes have been high that participation would be good enough for Blizz to want to schedule this one a few times a year instead of on the regular micro holiday rotation. However now that I’ve competed in the event on all four armor classes and won I just don’t know if I would continue participating. Unless of course Blizz adds more xmog rewards!!

Druid won with “Epic Purple”.

My Druid went first, round one was “Champions of the Light”. When choosing what to xmog into for this theme I thought about holy priest or paladins. I did take 3rd place, but ya know what, being a druid it’s not super easy to come up with a set for Champions of the Light.

Round two was “Epic Purple” and already having a favorite mix of leather from Firelands it was a quick decision what to xmog into. Bam baby 1st place!!

I competed on one of all four armor classes collecting the reward sets and the winners shirt for each.

Mage won with “Champions of the Light”.

Hunter won with “Everyday Heroes”.

Warrior won with “Winter Wear”.

Since I knew ahead of time that you would only get two minutes to dressing before the round starts I spent about an hour putting together the themed sets before I jumped into the competition.

On PTR the themes were Summer Styles, Winter Wear, Ready for Battle, Fun and Flirty, Mismatched Mayhem, Fire and Ice, Dark and Deadly, Faction Pride, Primal Style, Heroes of Azeroth, Make Me Laugh, Tabard Time, Everyday Heroes, Epic Purple, Champions of the Light, and Freestyle.

I’m currently showing 47/48 on the appearance tab but if you count them all (and I do) it’s really 54 PVE set’s and so far I have completed 39 of them.

ACHIEVEMENTS

I finished my Demon Hunters classhall campaign earning not only [Champions of Legionfall] but also [A Legendary Campaign] which means I finished all 12 of my alliance toon classhalls, yaaa!!

I ended the week with 23,725 achievements points and the guild roster says 19,710 for Starrefyre.

Balance of Power

I was a big baby this week about being so far behind on mythics for Balance of Power. I felt like I hadn’t picked up any NH shards in at least 3 weeks because I still needed mythics. Both my Warlock and Shaman have both been needing mythics for at least two weeks now.

I feel bad because maybe I had a small meltdown over the weekend which led to Barla to leading the charge and making sure both of those characters for ready for the Sunday NH raid. Thank you GUILDIES who lent a hand and help me get caught up!!

Currently my Druid, Mage, Hunter, and Priest have completed the Balance of Power questline for the weapon appearance.

  • Monk: Needs to quest in Azuna.
  • DK & DH: Needs to do EoA & DHT mythics.
  • Pally: Needs EN.
  • Rogue & Warrior: Needs to quest in Suramar.
  • Warlock & Sham: Needs NH

Truth be told I’m a little worried that I might run out of time to complete my goal of getting this done on all 12 of my alliance toons. So guys please forgive me if I’m a little off while trying to get all these mythics/raids completed.

Brawlers Guild

We (Tony, Larissa, James, and myself) spent some time in Brawlers Guild Friday and after nearly two hours of wiping on Burnstachio I logged off tired and disappointed!

So I went back Monday evening and managed to finish all of the Rank 4 bosses and all but one boss in Rank 5. Yaa!!

COLLECTIONS

I picked up only one new toy this week, the [Magical Saucer]. I also picked up one new pet, the [Pocket Cannon] using the Deadmines pet battle currency. You can check out my pet collection here, my current status is 838/906 and #18 on the realm.

PEEVE OF THE WEEK

As a GM it’s a fine line we have to walk in order to keep everyone happy. Just like our beloved Azeroth every few months it seems we might be teetering on destruction for one reason or another. Our guild is small but for a few of us it’s our virtual home so we strive to keep it strong and active. Sometimes that’s not easy because we are made up of several types of WoW players.

  • Casual: Those just want to play WoW just doing there own thing in peace no matter what that might be. But still they prefer a friendly social environment rather than playing solo. These might be newbies, collectors, altoholics, or those special types who like to continually kill off toons and level anew (haha).
  • Raiders:  Those who want a casual guild environment but want to raid at the same time. They want to progress through current content successfully but without the hardcore raid attitudes and ensuing drama.

Now I’m not a pro at this thing we call managing a guild but I do my best to juggle my GM duties and my personal game time. But let’s talk honestly here for a minute (and there’s really no way to put this delicately) I may not always want to do everything we have scheduled for the guild. Nor should I or anyone for that matter have to do anything they are not interested in doing.

If we required every member to participate in everything we would be dropping members like swatting flies on the wall. And honestly, if my being the GM doesn’t afford me that same courtesy then maybe I shouldn’t be GM.

I simply can’t say it any plainer, if a member doesn’t want to raid that’s their choice, and that includes our officers. Our guild is simply not a raiding a guild, we are a casual guild who enjoys dabbling in all the awesomeness we call World of Warcraft.

I do not want our members being guilt tripped or annoyed because they do not go to the guild raids. The answer is simply recruit more casual raiders. There are tons of older people who play this game and prefer a casual family friendly environment such as our guild offers. Let’s grow our ranks until we have a successful team of raiders able to accomplish the goals being set out.

STILL ON MY TODO LIST

  • Complete the class hall quest line for my Monk, Pally, DK, and DH.
  • Complete the class mount quest for my Priest, Warlock, Shaman, Monk, DH, Warrior, Pally, and DK.
  • Go through all my profession characters and complete the Legion profession quest.
  • Farm Underbelly Rares for the Rogue and Shaman hidden appearances. Go for my last hidden appearance for my Hunter from Ursoc. Do TOV on my Warrior for the hidden appearance.
  • Get back in there and finish those last four TWO Brawlers Guild ranks.
  • I still need concordance on my Hunter(x2), Rogue(x2), Paladin(x3), Death Knight(x3), Warlock, Demon Hunter, Monk, and Mage.
  • I still need to start working on the Chromie Scenario.

So comment below and share what your working on? And don’t forget to follow me on Twitter & Facebook =}
