Its PATCH DAY wooot and are you excited? I’m excited because we have MORE pet’s to collect — 20 NEW pets to be exact!!
Raiding with Leashes
I posted a quick guide to collecting all 12 new pets from the new Raiding with Leashes VI: Pets of Pandaria a few weeks ago so rather than do that again let me just link it HERE.
This little mechanical cutie is Feathers, he’s a quest reward from a new questline in Tanaris. [Video]
It’s too bad we’ll have to wait another month since 8.1.5 drops a full week after DMF ends for this month but next month, you’ll be able to purchase three new pets for 90 Darkmoon Faire prize tickets each.
Horse Balloon – A non-combat pet made to look like a horse.
Murloc Balloon – A non-combat pet made to look like a murloc.
Wolf Balloon – A non-combat pet made to look like a wolf.
Children’s Week this year runs from May 2nd thru the 9th and it’s bringing with it new Boralus and Dazar’Alor based orphan questlines with Beakbert, Scaley, Froglet and Mr. Crabs as reward options.
Mr. Crabs – Mr. Crabs was victorious in a lengthy brawl amongst nearly a dozen other hermit crabs to claim his current shell.
Beakbert – Beakbert’s favorite food is a ravenberry.
Froglet – The skin of a teal frog sometimes shimmers just right in the sunlight, providing excellent camouflage when on the surface of the water.
Scaley – Saurolisk scales are a surprisingly flexible but durable material that are often used to reinforce or mend things that are broken or worn through.
Make sure you have at least 4 characters at 110 or higher before May if you want ALL the new 8.1.5 Children’s Week pets! Pssssst .. the images used in this post are not mine and are credited to Wowhead.
With these 20 new pets coming soon which one are you looking forward to the most?
The next installment of Raiding with Leashes is available on the PTR this week. In this round we’ll be collecting 11 new battle pets from Mogu’shan Vaults, Terrace of Endless Spring, and Heart of Fear – no word as of yet on which difficulties will be required.
Slowly but surely I’ve been collecting the Pandaren Spirit Pets available only from successfully battling the new Pandaren Spirit Tamers — of course it’s only a chance you’ll even find one of the spirit pets in your [Pandaren Spirit Pet Supplies].
Today I got the last spirit pet I needed, the Pandaren Earth Spirit, yay! I know some people are still having trouble battling the spirit tamers if that’s you be sure to check out my teams.
Patch 5.2 will be bringing some changes to Pet Battles.
– Fleeing a pet battle will no longer despawn the pet that was being battled, but doing so will now inflict some damage on the fleeing pet battle team. Now I don’t know about you, but I’m worried – especially since I always forfeit many times to get that Thundering Spirit Tamer to lead off with Sludgey not to mention how many wild pets are forfeited in search of rares. Thoughts?
– Battle Pet Bandages now stack to 25 and are Bind to Account. YAH, enough said on that one.
– A number of new pets can be found on the Isle of Lightning, including Rare spawn drops, wild pets, and raid boss drops. New wild pets, I love battle pets and I am almost out of wild pets in need of hunting!
– Elite Battle Pets have been added to the game world. These rare pets will spawn alone against an entire team. A new quest has been added to track progress as these new pets are hunted down, and defeating that quest will award the new Red Panda pet. Did someone say RED PANDA? … Awesome!!
New achievement [Raiding with Leashes] it has been confirmed by several people that these new pet’s started dropping last night and drop rates seem to be quite reasonable. Whether that’s because there’s a large influx of pet farmer’s or not remains to be seen but I would suggest you not wait to long to get yours.
